What is Pseudofolliculitis barbae? |

This describes a foreign body inflammatory reaction involving papules or pustules and primarily affects curly haired males who shave. After a hair has been shaved, it begins to grow back. Curly hair tends to curly into the skin instead of straight out the follicle, leading to an inflammation. The skin appears itch and red, and in some cases, looks like pimples. Treated with a series of SIPL treatments, our male clients find laser therapy to be the most affective and quickest therapy.
